Welcome to Sheldwich, Badlesmere and Leaveland

Sheldwich, Badlesmere and Leaveland are English civil parishes within the district of Swale set in the heart of the Kent countryside on the edge of the Kent Downs.

We are an amalgamation of three parishes, Sheldwich, Badlesmere and Leaveland. We have three lovely churches within the area, St Lawrence at Leaveland, St James and Badlesmere Church which has original box pews. The two communities of Badlesmere & Leaveland are based around a Lees which is part of the Lees Court Estate owned by Lady Sondes. This Lees and the one in Sheldwich is in the charge of the locals who maintain and manage the area. Fund raising events such as fetes, firework events and a 10k run are held to raise money for this. Sheldwich Lees has regular cricket matches.
