Cllr. Stephen Blythin

Cllr. Stephen Blythin

I retired fairly recently from a career that took in banking, finance, oil and gas as well as a substantial period working in the public sector. My specialty was operations, cost reduction, programme direction coupled with organisational change. Since joining the Parish Council, I have been particularly focussed and active on financial control and the safety of the roads in the parish. Key projects to date have included
the speed reduction on Lees Court road, the implementation of the village gates for Sheldwich, Badlesmere and North Street, working to reduce the speed limit on the A251.

I am to continue to work on the relationships forged with KCC to further improve matters and hopefully reduce the size and volume of traffic on the A251.

I currently hold the following Portfolios on behalf of the Parish Council:

Emergency Plan
Highways
Finance
